Home to Descendants of Crom, underground heavy events, and artist services, Blackseed is dedicated to supporting and amplifying the underground heavy music scene.
Descendants of Crom is Pittsburgh’s premier annual heavy underground music festival, dedicated to showcasing a powerful lineup of local, regional, and national bands. Since its inception in 2017, DOC has grown into a vital event for the city’s underground music community, providing a home for doom, sludge, stoner, post-metal, and extreme-adjacent metal in an intimate yet high-impact setting. As the only festival of its kind in Pittsburgh, it continues to build momentum each year, bringing together passionate fans and artists to celebrate the raw and authentic spirit of heavy music.
